General Fund Pledges
Your contribution to the general fund provides the greatest flexibility for achieving OSA's land protection efforts. General funds may be used for operating expenses and land purchase. Unless otherwise designated, all contributions will be placed in the general fund.
Land Fund
Although general fund contributions may be used for land purchase, contributions specified for the Land Fund are permanently restricted for purchase of land and/or purchase of partial interests (e.g. development rights, easement ownership). Funds may be used independently, or to leverage grant money.

Land Saver: $1,000 - $4,999

Donations at any level are welcome!The Open Space Alliance is a nonprofit foundation and all donations are fully deductible under Section 501 (c) 3 of the IRS Code.
Employer Matching Donations
The Open Space Alliance relies upon the support of individual donors as well as small businesses and larger corporations and foundations. What many people do not know is that there are a variety of ways to contribute. If you contribute to the United Way through your place of employment you can earmark all, or a portion, of your contribution to support OSA. Many larger companies have corporate matching grant programs. If you contribute money to OSA, the company will match it dollar for dollar at no additional cost to you but doubling your contribution to OSA.
Gifts of Stocks and Bonds
Giving stocks and bonds to the Open Space Alliance is another way that you can make a great contribution towards the preservation of open space in Santa Cruz County while dramatically reducing your tax bill. Using appreciated assets for charitable gifts offers two-fold tax savings: both income tax saving and capital gains savings.

Santa Cruz Community Credit Union has created new Partnership Certificates. When you open a Partnership Certificate account, you can specify that the interest be donated to OSA. Learn more here.
In-kind donations
OSA has an ongoing need for in-kind donations such as office equipment. The greatest need at this time is for a computer monitor. Feel free to contact the office for a complete list.
